Temperature 98C. The President of the United States has called at least half of the citizens “scum”.

Mr. President:

Yesterday, on Memorial Day, you put out a message on social media that began as follows:

“Happy Memorial Day to all, including the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country through warped radical left minds…”

This is not acceptable.  And it is not excusable.  We are Americans.  We are citizens of this country that has represented an ideal for the world of freedom and prosperity.  We want to live good lives and help others to do the same.  We enjoy the diversity of humanity, of human lives and of human achievements.  And we will defend our freedom.

You must resign from your office.  No one could govern effectively after making such a statement, but the plain fact is that you have never governed effectively.  You have made it clear that you have no understanding of what it is to govern, and no interest in doing so.  Despite taking an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, you have attacked and undermined the Constitutional order since before you were even elected for the first time.  You are charged with seeing that the laws are followed, but you have broken a very large number of laws and you continue to do so every day.

You, not us, are the one trying to destroy this country.  You have done great damage in just over four months in office, and you are planning much more.  Do not try to put the blame on us.  The blame and the responsibility are entirely your own.

You must resign.
